The waiters are whining about increased work without pay.

웨이터들이 임금 인상 없이 일거리만 늘어났다고 투덜대고 있어요.

 

When the customers whined about the temperature, we increased the heat.

고객들이 온도에 대해 툴툴거려서 저희가 실내 온도를 높였습니다.

drive someone up the wall : (~을 아주) 난감하게 하다, 짜증나게 하다, 미치게 하다 / to annoying or frustrate someone a lot; to make someone really upset or go crazy.

예문 1: I've been stuck on this problem for the past five days. It's driving me up the wall.

내가 이 문제를 가지고 5일 동안이나 고민하고 있다니까요. 아주 미쳐버리겠어요.

예문 2: Sitting in front of a computer all day long is driving Jooch up the wall.

하루 종일 컴퓨터 앞에 앉아있다보니 주치쌤은 미쳐버릴 것만 같아요.

B: Give it a rest! I said I'll get it to you before lunch.

A: 아니, 보고서는 언제 나에게 보내려고 그래요?
