How long have p.p : 얼마나 오래 ~ 해왔어?

 

go out : 교제하다, 데이트하다, 사귀다 

Would you like to go out with me? 저와 데이트하실래요? 

 

not too : 별로 ~ 않은

The situation is not too bad. 상황이 아주 나쁜 건 아니야.

would you like to ask you~ : 너에게 ~을 물어보고 싶어 

I'd like to ask you how you feel about me. 네가 나에 대해 어떻게 생각하는지 묻고 싶어. 

be married : 결혼하다

I'm too young to be married. 난 결혼하기엔 너무 어려 (be 동사 꼭 써줄 것!)

be not supposed to : ~하지 말아야 한다.

You are not supposed to take a stroll here. 이곳에서 산책하시면 안 돼요. 

 

take a trip : 여행가다 

The fall is the best season to take a trip. 가을은 여행 가기에 가장 좋은 계절이야.

want + to부정사 : ~하고 싶다 (want는 to부정사만을 목적어로 취함)

 

We wanted to build a new house on the waterfront. 우리는 해안가에 새 집을 짓고 싶었어.

as far as + 주어 + 동사 : ~가 *** 할 수 있는 (정도, 범위, 길이)까지

I helped her as far as I could. 내가 할 수 있는 데까지 그녀를 도왔어.

같은 단어를 쓰더라도 어떤 구문으로 사용하는가에 따라 의미가 미묘하게 달라진다!! 

let it go : 그만 두다, 걱정을 멈추다. (=forget it / stop worrying about it)

let it be : 어떤 상황 자체를 그대로 두다. (= leave the situation alone as it.)
